Why Jute & Seagrass?

Jute is one of the most sustainable natural fibers available — fast-growing, rain-fed, and fully biodegradable. Seagrass is harvested from coastal wetlands without irrigation or pesticides and is equally biodegradable at end of life. Together they produce a basket with two distinct textures: the softer, more flexible jute upper and the denser, more structured seagrass base — which gives the basket its shape and rigidity without any synthetic reinforcement. Both materials improve with age, developing a patina that makes each basket more characterful over time.
