Zubita Woven Bowl — Sunrise Pattern | 2 Sizes | 2 Colorways | Azizi Life | Rwanda

A handwoven sisal bowl in a bold sunrise pattern — the bowl surface woven from dyed natural sisal fibers over a core of forest grasses, the pattern built from the center outward in a continuous spiral. The design is a striking geometric composition: a warm amber/natural sisal semicircle fills the lower half of the bowl from center to rim; a clean arch of cream white sisal rises above it, the arch edged with a row of short white dashes that create a crown-like fringe at the top; the entire composition is framed by a wide outer rim band in the colorway color.

Available in two colorways:

  • Teal/Sage Green — the outer rim and upper field in a warm sage green/teal, the sunrise arch in cream white, the lower semicircle in warm amber/natural sisal. As shown in the product images, the sage green outer rim gives the bowl a warm, botanical quality.
  • Black — the outer rim and upper field in deep matte black, the sunrise arch in bright cream white, the lower semicircle in warm amber/natural sisal. The high contrast of the black and white arch against the warm amber creates a bold, graphic composition.

Available in two sizes:

  • Small — 7" diameter — a compact bowl for a desk, shelf, or bedside table; holds jewelry, keys, or small objects
  • Large — 16" diameter — a statement bowl for a coffee table, a wall, or an entryway; flat bottom for use as a tray

Azizi Life — Women Artisans in Rwanda

Azizi Life is a social enterprise dedicated to creating sustainable livelihoods for artisan communities in rural Rwanda. Every Zubita bowl is handwoven by women artisans in Rwanda — each bowl taking 1 to 3 days of skilled handwork. The weaver begins at the center of the bowl, carefully threading the sisal around and around to build the pattern outward to the rim. Azizi Life is Fair Trade certified.

How It Improves Your Daily Life

The Zubita bowl works as both a decorative bowl and a wall art piece. The Large bowl has a flat bottom — making it a generous tray for serving or display on a coffee table or console. The Small bowl is the ideal size for a jewelry or keys holder on a bedside table or entryway shelf, or filled with small treats as a gift basket.

Each Zubita bowl has four loops on the back for wall hanging — the four loops allowing the bowl to be positioned and leveled precisely on the wall. As shown in the lifestyle image, the Large and Small bowls displayed together on a white shelf — the bold sunrise pattern at two scales — create a considered, gallery-style arrangement.

How to Style It

  • Wall art — hung using the four loops on the back; Large and Small together for a gallery arrangement
  • Coffee table — Large as a flat-bottom tray for decorative objects or dried botanicals
  • Entryway shelf — Large as a statement decorative object; Small for keys and small accessories
  • Bedside table — Small for jewelry, rings, and small personal objects
  • Gift basket — Small filled with small treats, chocolates, or small gifts
  • Gift — a Fair Trade, zero-waste gift; available in 2 sizes and 2 colorways
  • Pairs with: white walls, natural wood, linen, terracotta, and any warm earthy, botanical, or modern interior
