The Woven Stripe Turkish Throw is handloomed from 100% Turkish cotton in the Denizli region of Turkey — one of the world’s most respected centers for traditional textile craft. Heavier and more substantial than a standard throw, with an intricate woven stripe pattern and hand-knotted fringe that makes it as considered draped over a chair as it is wrapped around your shoulders on a cold evening.

The Material

Turkish cotton is not a marketing term — it is a specific fiber grown in the Aegean region of Turkey, harvested from extra-long staple plants that produce a thread significantly finer and stronger than standard cotton. When woven tightly, as it is here, the result is a fabric that is lightweight yet substantial, breathable in summer and warm in winter, and — critically — one that gets softer and more beautiful with every wash rather than pilling or flattening over time. The Craft

Every throw is handloomed by small, family-owned workshops in Denizli — weavers who have kept this tradition alive through generations, using manual looms that trace their lineage to the hammam culture of the Ottoman era. Tassels are hand-knotted individually by women working from their homes. No two pieces are identical. The slight variations in stripe rhythm and fringe are not imperfections — they are the signature of something genuinely made by hand.
