The Artist — Shelby Kregel

Shelby Kregel is a contemporary American artist based in Michigan, USA, where she studied at the Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. She works primarily in watercolor, acrylic, and India ink on paper and canvas — an impressionistic, ethereal style built around botanical and natural motifs: flowers, succulents, landscapes, and plant forms rendered in light tones and minimal line.

Kregel gained national recognition after winning a Starbucks design competition in the USA — her watercolor design Watercolor World was produced on their limited-edition tumblers. She is also known for a period of traveling and painting across the USA from a converted bus. Her original paintings sell for $250–$650 USD depending on size and collection. Custom commissions (including wedding bouquets) are available from $125 USD.
