Square Acacia Wood Serving Tray — 15" | Cut-Out Handles | Kalmar Home
A square serving tray in solid acacia wood — the tray body a flat, solid-bottom square with raised sides approximately 2" deep and cut-out handles routed directly into the wood at each end. The corners are rounded, the edges smooth and finished. The acacia wood surface shows the full natural variation of the grain — deep dark brown, warm amber, and pale honey tones flowing in broad diagonal bands across the surface, the grain pattern different on every tray.
The cut-out handles are routed cleanly into the short sides of the tray — each handle a smooth oval opening in the wood, the edges rounded and finished to the same standard as the tray surface. The raised sides are nearly 2" deep — deep enough to contain glasses, bottles, plates, and decorative objects securely when the tray is carried.
Why Acacia Wood?
Acacia is one of the hardest and most durable domestic hardwoods — denser than oak, naturally resistant to moisture and bacteria, and one of the few hardwoods that improves in appearance with age and use. The natural oils in acacia wood make it self-conditioning to a degree — the surface remains smooth and resistant to cracking without frequent oiling. The warm, varied tones of acacia — from pale honey to deep walnut — are a result of the natural variation in the wood itself, not a stain or a finish.
How It Improves Your Daily Life
The 15×15" square tray is large enough to serve a full breakfast in bed, a charcuterie board for four, a round of drinks for a gathering, or a styled collection of objects on a coffee table or kitchen island. The 2" raised sides keep everything contained when the tray is carried — glasses, bottles, and small plates stay in place. The cut-out handles give a secure, comfortable grip for carrying a full tray.
The warm acacia grain works with any interior palette — rustic farmhouse, modern minimalist, classic traditional, or Japandi. The tray is beautiful enough to leave permanently on a counter or a table as a styled object when not in use for serving.
How to Style & Use It

- Charcuterie — cheese, cured meats, crackers, grapes, and olives arranged directly on the acacia surface
- Bar tray — bottles, glasses, and a small ice bucket for a home bar setup
- Coffee table — candles, a small plant, books, and decorative objects organized on the tray
- Kitchen island — as a permanent styled object holding olive oil, salt, and small kitchen tools
- Gift — a complete, considered housewarming, wedding, or hosting gift
- Pairs with: white and cream ceramics, copper and brass, linen, natural stone, and any warm kitchen or dining palette
